Mr. Santana’s career spans two decades with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. Due to Augusts’ outstanding leadership and organization skills he was selected co-chairman on the negotiation committee interfacing with companies like UPS, Safeway, Vons, Yellow Freight and Market Basket. He negotiated labor contracts and safety issues facing teamster members. Mr. Santana has an entrepreneurial spirit and a keen interest, in what was at the time, the new and exciting world of the internet. He believed this new frontier could benefit the Brotherhood. Mr. Santana became the CEO of Teamster.com.

With this new challenge in mind, August began bringing new and innovative ideas that enabled the teamsters to developed a large fund raising opportunity for the membership as well as an ecommerce opportunity to sell logoed merchandise to the membership. This new enterprise produced revenues of 1.7 million yearly. In addition, Mr. Santana availed himself of the newly available e-mail system allowing the teamsters to develop a tight communication network between executive and rank and file. This enabled the teamsters to mobilize its members anywhere in the country as needed.

As the beginning of the dot com boom of the nineties approached, Mr. Santana was instrumental in selling off the teamster.com to Savo Marketing for 2.6 million.

In 1999 Mr Santana retired to travel and spend quality time with his wife who was stricken with Cancer. With the passing of his wife in 2002, After a brief retirement Mr Santana started a import and wholesale business selling all terrain vehicles. In four short years his company grew to 100,000 units sold in California and Nevada. Due to aggressive changes in state regulations Mr Santana sold the company and it assets in December of 2007

He then began aggressively looking for opportunities where he could use his skills to contribute in the wellness arena. When a long time business associate introduced him to the bottle water industry, an awareness of a new product called alkaline water peaked his interest in wellness.

Dr Dederichs brings over 25 years of clinical experience in alternative healthcare and nutrition. He is licenced in the State of California to practice both Acupuncture and Chiropractic. Extensive experience in these professions, along with his basic science training, provides a unique prospective to Aqua Ads Direct by balancing the western approach to health and wellness with the philosophy of the ancient teachings of the East. His experience in supplement research and formulation, along with a knowledge of the current trends in alternative medicine, places him in the vital role of product development.

He holds a Masters Degree in Bio/Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport, CT and sits on the board of regents for Southern California University of Health Sciences in Whittier, California where he received his Masters Degree in Herbology and Oriential Medicine.
